One More Word to Learn - In the Growing Jungle of Med-words: Senolytics That’s a class of drugs (and of some dietary supplements)  that specializes in cleaning out the senescent cells that build up in your bod. Here from “NATURE Communications” is a taste of the reason this cleaning out is a good idea: “Aging is the main risk factor for many chronic degenerative diseases and cancer. Increased senescent cell burden in various tissues is a major contributor to aging and age-related diseases. Recently, a new class of drugs termed senolytics were demonstrated to extending healthspan, reducing frailty and improving stem cell function in multiple murine models of aging.”* OK, I'm a little senescent. That “extending healthspan” business caught my attention. My 80 year old brain (almost 81!) likes the sound of that.* The drugs getting a lot of attention are in a class of "HSP90 Inhibitors" and they wipe up senescent cells quite nicely.

Make multiple plans for the future of the island economy. Fully integrate these citizen inputs in all planning processes. PUT EVERY PUERTO RICAN WHO NEEDS WORK A JOB IN THE REBUILD . Accidental Irony and the Serependipity of Search Engines I Google-Imaged "legs akimbo" while writing on my latest attempt at  novelizing to see if I was using the term correctly.  Many pages down, I came on this: Got that? Side-by-side thumbnails, neither having anything I can see to do with "legs akimbo" nor each other, just an algorithmic placement. Perhaps a secret message for apostates? It gave me pause.  Then, unrelated and just below... ... this reassured and comforted me, but what really got me back into my superficial philosophical attitude was just to the right of "Church": Those legs are definitely akimbo! Scientists say this indicates we are in the midst of an “Insect Apocalypse.” One of the key culprits is the massive increase in the use of pesticides. I'm feeling really sick These pesticides (neonicotinoids) are harming our health and our food system. But they’re generating millions in profits for Bayer and Monsanto.
