Right - Left Agreement Conversation, Insults Notwithstanding

[This is another post on "talking with Breitbartians." This one is an example of "substantive agreement with insults" kind of exchange.]

There was a Breitbart report on the approaching Irma. 9.14.
I dropped in one of my earth shaking observations in "comments."  Not sure why.

Huge, all time record breaking typhoons have been hitting the Pacific for the last several years... We don't pay attention, because they rarely if ever hit the U.S. We had a lull in the Atlantic (where typhoons are called hurricanes), using the lull to rock ourselves into denial. God help us now (unless you believe He is punishing us for our LGBT behavior, etc. making it unlikely He will help much). Hang in there, Irma victims-to-be.

Get the attempted humor there? One guy didn't and suggested I should start believing in unicorns.  I agreed.
Meanwhile, a substantive response came of the sort I appreciate.
Kim calls leftist (ALL of them) "rabid in their insanity about global warming,"  and thinks Democrats have low IQ, so obviously we disagree on a few things, but then he went for almost a paragraph and a half saying stuff I mostly agree with. These snarling dogs stopped and sniffed for a bit before he became "rabidly" partisan again. The part we agree on is in green.`

They will now be 1,000 x's more rabid in their insanity about global warming, demanding that we rejoin the Paris Accords... What I find to be proof of the low IQ of the democratic party is one simple fact....They blame global warming on the increased carbon levels...Yet they do nothing about the corporations that are destroying the Rainforests and Jungles around the world. Every hour we lose a football field swath of trees and plants due to globalist greed. Trees and plants absorb carbon and make oxygen......
So instead of whining and complaining about carbon footprints, liberals should be fighting to stop the destruction of the trees and plants....but, that would take common sense, something that liberals lack.

Exactly WHO do you accuse of allowing the destruction of the (rain, dry, arboreal, etc) forests? Consider the double damage (forests and air) of the Canadian oil sands desecration... It's not politics, it's greed. Greed is bipartisan. 

Other than the politicization, I agree with you wholeheartedly.

So there you have it. Kim and I agree on a major environmental issue of world wide deforestation. We are both frustrated that nobody is stopping it. Total agreement.

He is convinced the Libs are at fault; I am convinced it's a all-partisan fault. Kim and I had what would have been a boring exchange, agree all the way. Maybe the hyper-partisan insulting is to keep the discussion less boring!

A Millenial Hit Olde Folks Don't Know About Are you over 50? Have you ever heard about "Rick and Morty?" I thought not. There is a "cell" of younger people who love the show and say extravagant things about its wonderfulness. In these times when prior punditry had it we would be unified by some mysterious power in the Internet, there are more and more cells of people, unified within their cells, but isolated from most of the other cells of special interests*, tastes and proclivities.  The U.S. looks more like a pomegranate than a cantaloupe - to push the fruit/melon analogy to its extreme. I will dream up a graphic one of these days. USA, USA! society in fruit form. ANYHOO... I watched Rick and Morty at my millennial son's suggestion, and I LOVE IT. Eccentric old genius and non-genius grandson as the lead characters (faintly Back to the Future -esque) + sci-fi + Simpsons sensibilities +  intelligent satire + over-the-top imaginative creators

I TOLD YOU ABOUT THIS SIX YEARS AGO (Surely you remember ?)  ...And in those six years, multiple research projects have affirmed and reaffirmed that SENOLYTICS is a big deal. The senolytic agents augment apoptosis , nature's way of killing off the senescent cells.
