New-ish Corporatespeak Word Attritable seems to mean "expendable" or "disposable," but those just won't do for Lockheed Martin and their ilk. Sounds too throw-away-ish, y'know. It's not a cruise missile (although it can be used that way), it's a pilotless airplane that can shoot missiles, ram its target or dive into it.  Sort of Kamikaze without a suicidal pilot. The A.I. that will fly the thing needs human (and other A.I.s helping the human) oversight, and the perfect overseer is an F-35. Made by Lockheed Martin. And these things are described as " low-cost attritable UAV platforms."   Check the "low-cost" description. (Hint: it's hard to find the probable price.) I've said it before... I keep threatening to turn my new sci-fi book MIZ,  Time Tripping With Amazing Females into an audio book, with me doing the reading. "Goodreads" the super duper book blog lists... Audio Books Narrated By Their Authors (87 books) ... So it's not unheard of. Many of the author/readers are famous writers like one of my idols Neil Gaiman, and media stars like Amy Poehler and Tina Fay. There needs to be an old-guy-sci-fi reader in that group.
