Cluster Trolls

 Or maybe "Super Trolls."  Or possibly "O.C. Trolls"

IT ALL STARTED when I noticed on several "comments" boards on Breitbart.com and DailyCaller.com dozens of posts from the same handle/avatar, and coming at unlikely speeds.

POW! one long comment from Sodbuster2, then POW! another long one from Sodbuster2!  Then as I looked over the comments, POW!POW!POW!, more from old Sod. There were eleven posts from Sodbuster2 scattered over the section.  Hmmm, I wondered, just how prolific is he? And the first suspicion: Is he a he, or a them?

I checked him on Disqus, where there is a count of all his posts. Whoa... 92,387! 
(if you click that, you will get the snarky... 
... meaning "No more info on this dude." In other words, this super prolific, fast-typing critter (bot?) is INCOGNITO! Otherwise you could see all of his posts (like you can see all of mine), and maybe figure out what he is all about. 

...but now I believe he is a  "Cluster Troll." [I just made that up.]

What's a 'cluster troll,' Scooter?
In a nutshell, it's a small group of (probably Russian) paid trolls, posting simultaneously from the same handle/avatar on a "high emotion" story. Their job is to stir the pot, insert memes, paste real text from other posters and news sources, YouTube links, etc.,etc.,etc. ALL WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF INFLUENCING THE DISCUSSION, AMPING UP POLARIZATION AND IN GENERAL SOWING CHAOS IN THE AMERICAN BODY POLITIC.
Bad stuff, in other words. America further divided is America damaged.

Just think about it, if "Sodbuster" started trolling the day Donald J. Trump announced his candidacy on June 16, 2015 and kept at it every day since, eight hours a day, he would have to post 104 times a day with no days off. That's 13 an hour. If he worked a five day week in the People's Paradise, that would be 150 a day, 19 and hour. However, two or three folks working diligently could handle that easily. Thus "cluster." 
Just my theory.

Now nobody in my tight little circle of pals really knows what's going on here. (Most of my pals don't really keep up with all this Internet crap. We're old guys.) I hear nothing about this in the MSM or the radical this-or-that media. Perhaps they are really O.C. folks with hypomania. Maybe these are just driven individuals who spend their whole day grinding out this stuff because of passionate conviction.  [I don't think so because I have seen many internal contradictions in some of the high volume stuff, but I could be wrong, and there are even more colorful explanations.]  Perhaps they are in the pay of the Kochs, Kim Jong Un or President Xi. Or perhaps they fancy themselves sort of lay columnists. Or they just enjoy riling people up. 
                   Or maybe they are Cluster Trolls. Simple cyber warfare.

p.s. There is a #nastybot hashtag, but 'taint me.
p.s.II Somewhere in the Homestuck epic there is a cluster troll. Way different.

A Millenial Hit Olde Folks Don't Know About Are you over 50? Have you ever heard about "Rick and Morty?" I thought not. There is a "cell" of younger people who love the show and say extravagant things about its wonderfulness. In these times when prior punditry had it we would be unified by some mysterious power in the Internet, there are more and more cells of people, unified within their cells, but isolated from most of the other cells of special interests*, tastes and proclivities.  The U.S. looks more like a pomegranate than a cantaloupe - to push the fruit/melon analogy to its extreme. I will dream up a graphic one of these days. USA, USA! society in fruit form. ANYHOO... I watched Rick and Morty at my millennial son's suggestion, and I LOVE IT. Eccentric old genius and non-genius grandson as the lead characters (faintly Back to the Future -esque) + sci-fi + Simpsons sensibilities +  intelligent satire + over-the-top imaginative creators

I TOLD YOU ABOUT THIS SIX YEARS AGO (Surely you remember ?)  ...And in those six years, multiple research projects have affirmed and reaffirmed that SENOLYTICS is a big deal. Aside from that hyperbolic, click-bait-ish headline, it's a fair summary of the state of knowledge on the subject. In brief: Certain drugs and several supplements help the body get rid of senescent cells, "zombie cells" that don't die after they quit doing their thing and just hang around spitting out inflammatory chemicals that damage various organs, joints, and brain cells. The senolytic agents augment apoptosis , nature's way of killing off the senescent cells. When those senescent cells are gone, things start improving measurably (see the mouse with the young look in the Guardian piece.)
